As the host city for the Recent Cop-26 summit when world leaders took a range of decisions in the collective effort to limit Global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees, Glasgow is well and truly on the map as a great destination for Meetings and events!

Glasgow is Scotland’s most accessible destination with three international airports and direct flights from over 170 destinations. There is a great choice of Meetings and events venues and accommodation, with over 8500 bedrooms in the city, providing easy access for your delegates to their conference venue. It is also a compact and walkable city, making it easy for visitors to find their way around.

The city offers a wide variety of activities for you to develop a unique and memorable social programme for delegates with activities such as whisky tasting, piping and ceilidh dancing just a sample of what is on offer. In addition, there are more than 20 free museums and art galleries around the city. Glasgow is a short journey from breath-taking Scottish scenery, including Loch Lomond which is located just 40 minutes away and famous mountains, historic castles and golf courses.

1.SECC

The proud host venue of the recent Cop26 event, The Scottish Event Campus is a unique, world-class conference venue. Combining passion, nation-wide partnerships and infinite flexibility, the SEC delivers fantastic events of all shapes and sizes to clients.
Set along the banks of the river Clyde, it’s just a 5 minute walk from the city centre. There are a variety of impressive spaces guaranteed to meet your event requirements. Choose from over 30 meeting spaces, 5 exhibition halls (22,000sqm) and 3 auditoria.

2. Merchant’s House

The early history of the house is closely linked to that of Civic government and over the centuries the house has always been connected to the local authority. By hiring the stunning Grand Hall and meeting rooms in this historic and centrally located venue, you are directly supporting charities in the West of Scotland.The magnificent Grand Hall is the largest room within the house.
A variety of events can be hosted here including conferences, lectires and AGM’s for up to 200 and lavish dinners and weddings for 120. There are 4 also additional rooms for hire, the largest of these, the Dean’s room with a capacity of 80 theatre style.

3. Sherbrooke Castle Hotel

This magnificent, baronial building offers luxury bedrooms, a bar, restaurant and conference facilities that cater for up to 200 people. Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is situated on the south side of Glasgow in the peaceful surroundings of Pollokshields. It is an ideal location for both business and leisure guests and makes a stunning wedding venue. It has 18 bedrooms, 4 events spaces and beautiful landscaped gardens.
The Brooke suite accommodates up to 250 in theatre style or 200 in banquet set up and the lovely Conservatory can accommodate 100 in theatre style and 60 banquet.The Library is ideal for a small meeting for 16 or private dining for 12. It also caters for the the festive season with a selection of Christmas party nights.

4. 200 SVS Conferences and Events

Located in Glasgow’s City Centre, just off the city’s main Buchanan Street, 200 Conference & Events is a stunningly beautiful, historic venue, which creates the perfect backdrop for every event. Formerly the North British & Mercantile Building. Built in 1929 by Sir John James Burnet with Norman A Dick it has three striking statues embedded into the front wall who are said to be St.Andrew with this boat and the Seafarer and Seafarer’s Wife.

They offer exclusive boardrooms and luxury conference and event suites, catering from 3 to 350 people. After undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment, the building has been transformed offering a magnificent setting for your meeting or event.

At the Restaurant On 6th – vibrant luxury décor, art deco modernism, marble and dark wood finishings and rich details create a unique setting. Overlooking the Financial district and a stone’s throw from Buchanan Street, you’ll find the Restaurant ensures a pleasant and exciting dining experience.

5. Kimpton Blytheswood Square Hotel
