As we we entered the second lock-down we saw some venues temporarily closing their doors, however a great number are still open for Covid-safe meetings. The Department for Culture media and Sport has announced that business meetings for up to 30 people are still allowed to take place with appropriate social distancing and in COVID-secure venues. The official statement from government being “Event spaces can be used for reasons permitted by law, including for education and training purposes where ‘reasonably necessary’. In some cases numbers of more than 30 are permitted, for example for examinations, essential training and events for Key workers.
After the latest government announcement, many event venues saw what business they had in for November/December cancel or postpone and have decided to close their doors until 2021.

The chefs at Merchant Taylor’s Hall have turned their hands to making Christmas food treats including, preserves, chutneys, chocolates and Christmas puddings for a range of festive hampers that can be delivered to your door! Leading Venues of London have teamed up with Events & Production company Oxygen to put on an interactive virtual Christmas party event from The Steel Yard on 18 December at £39+ vat pp.
Some venues had planned to deliver Hybrid Christmas events with some guests experiencing the full dining and entertainment experience at the venue and others watching from home with some interactive elements and festive food treats delivered to them in advance. These events may now be in jeopardy since latest restrictions were announced.
