State of the Events Industry – August 2020

- 59% of venues have not yet reopened
- A full 35% of venues are planning on re-opening in September
- 64% of venues are not adjusting their venue rates in response to the pandemic
- 97% of venues have seen a decline in enquiry volumes
- 92% of venues had no insurance to cover pandemic related losses
- On average, enquiry volumes have decreased by 78%
- From our own survey a full 80% expect to see a decline in delegate rates
