The Science Museum in South Kensington has revealed the inspirational name behind its brand new multi-functional events venue. Named Illuminate, the space will open in January 2019 as a progressive destination that will not only anticipate, but will surpass, the needs of the ever-evolving events industry.
Ben Lheureux, head of catering & events at the Science Museum Group, says: “We spent a great deal of time developing the identity of our new dedicated events space. We wanted to create something that is not only synonymous with the Science Museum Group and our brand values, but that resonates with the forward-thinking events industry. With our ethos of innovation and inspiring futures, Illuminate will be the the ideal platform to host engaging, progressive events that encourage new ways of thinking.”
Illuminate is situated on levels four and five of the Science Museum and will be available for both daytime and evening hire for capacities of up to 400 for dinners and conferences and 450 for receptions. One of the unique features of the new space will be a panoramic window on level five offering stunning views of the City and an abundance of natural daylight, a key element in ensuring a productive meeting or conference experience.
