The Sunday Times has ranked The Landmark London fourth, DRPG (pictured) 16th and Wyboston Lakes 85th on its ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ 2020 list.
The event was held at Battersea Evolution and welcomed 1,400 guests. The results were announced at a gala dinner and ceremony, which was hosted by BBC TV presenter Dan Walker.
The list celebrated the top 100 companies with the highest index scores through a survey of employee satisfaction and the achievement of a set of criteria.
This included the company’s leadership, the opportunity for personal growth, staff wellbeing, work life balance, how it gives back to society and the benefits it provides.
This year has proven to be successful for both companies, as in 2019 The Landmark London was listed as number six and DRPG was ranked number 29. Based on employee feedback, Wyboston Lakes was also awarded a 2-star accreditation.
Brian Hladnik, managing director, Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company, said: “The whole team across the portfolio is extremely committed to achieving excellence in all they do and work every day to deliver memorable moments to each other and to the hotel guests.”
Andrew Batchelor, general manager, The Landmark London Hotel, added: “We are thrilled to have received this prestigious accolade, which showcases the continuous dedication and determination from all our team members to achieve the very best, ensuring they create a memorable experience and exceptional service for our guests.”
Dale Parmenter, CEO, DRPG said the position is a “testament to the tireless dedication of our close-knit team.” He added that it is “proof that we do not just pay lip service to improving our team’s working environment throughout the year, it is a core driver in our business strategy.”
Jonathan Austin, CEO & founder, Best Companies, said: “I would like to congratulate DRPG on your achievement. Best Companies have been producing the accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like DRPG have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
Steve Jones, managing director, Wyboston Lakes, concluded: “We are committed to supporting our team and invest heavily in training and development to enable them to progress as far as possible in their careers, and to making this a fulfilling and hopefully fun place to work. Creating a positive work-life balance for our team members and taking great care of everyone’s mental health is also very important and forms part of our company values.”
