Research done by a leading UK venue revealed that 60% of their clients are expecting company Christmas parties to be more important than ever in 2020. After the lock-down and all the uncertainty that still remains, it’s understandable that people will want to let their hair down and get together with colleagues they may have seen very little of throughout 2020!

Many employers will want to thank their teams for their hard work and perseverance at the end of this year. So, Christmas parties may be more of a thank-you than a celebration.

Whilst some venues are taking the view that things could actually be back to normal in December, others are taking a more cautious approach and adapting capacities and menus to allow for Social distancing which is likely to still be in place at the end of the year.

Festive food and drinks hampers are sent out to online attendees and on the night they are given an opportunity to choose playlist songs (can be with a dedication, DJ can announce the songs), create a virtual background/snap filter so that they can take photos and send these to be displayed on rotation on a virtual wall in the room, hang out in virtual lounges for chill zones and chatting and post on an interactive message board.
