After three years of Covid-19 restrictions, December 2022 saw the return of in-person celebrations, with many events companies reporting record-breaking demand for their services. And as a growing number of employers embrace hybrid working, the Christmas party is more important than ever, representing a vital opportunity for staff to get to know one another in person.

According to a recent survey, 84% of party organisers are yet to book their 2023 celebrations and just 2% of companies are not planning to stage a Christmas party this year. Bentley’s London

Bentley’s boasts a number of spaces for events and private dining, but this smart Mayfair townhouse really comes into its own in the festive season, combining history and tradition with great food and a relaxed, homely atmosphere. You have a wide range of private rooms to choose from – larger groups may want to consider the Swallow Street Rooms, a private venue with a separate entrance over the road from the restaurant. The Swallow Street Rooms have a capacity for 60 seated or 100 standing guests and have their own private entrance, private bar (complete with 3 am license) and upright piano. Alternatively, there are two more intimate options in the Crustacea Room or Rib Room, adjacent to the restaurant and designed with cosy Christmas dinners in mind.

The Atrium Manchester Art Gallery

With spaces for intimate drinks receptions to lavish Christmas parties, we’ll help you put on an evening to remember – whether you want to wow your guests in the vibrant contemporary galleries or steep them in the rich history of the atmospheric Victorian galleries. You’ll have the run of the gallery after hours, allowing your guests to explore the beautiful event spaces and exhibitions in private. One of their talented curators can even offer your guests a tour of the artworks housed within these impressive, historic surroundings. Your evening event can also make use of the bar, mobile PA system, and 85” screens for presentations or photography.

Manahatta Birmingham

Bringing the beat of New York to Birmingham. Manahatta is the most glamorous cocktail bar with an exciting party vibe. Perfect for Christmas parties with gorgeous private event spaces as well as fantastic areas available to hire they can cater to all your event needs.

Providing a full main menu of American-style dishes as well as an array of event-style catering menus the venue can cater to every style of event. Accommodating up to 400 standing and 200 for a seated dinner, they can offer a mix of food and drinks, alongside AV equipment, DJ and a private space downstairs. Manahatta is the place to be!

Sushi Samba London Heron Tower

Sushi Samba hosts small to medium-sized parties that are well-catered for, thanks to the beautiful private room located on the 39th floor mezzanine. This dramatic space can seat up to 40 guests on one long table for festive lunches or dinners; or, if it’s a Christmas cocktail and canapé party you’ve got in mind, staff can do away with the table to make space for up to 60 guests. The room is particularly suited to Christmas parties as it benefits from the buzz of the main restaurant and boasts those all-important views to boot.

Larger parties can take advantage of the beautiful dining room on the 38th floor, with its double-height ceiling, stylish pendant lights and breath-taking views across London. The space can accommodate 160 seated guests or a whopping 320 standing, though if you need even more space, perhaps for a bells-and-whistles company-wide Christmas bash, exclusive hire of the whole venue is also possible. Two floors, connected by a sweeping staircase, make exclusive hire an excellent choice for corporate Christmas parties of up to 470 standing guests.

20 Stories Manchester

A stunning rooftop restaurant in Spinningfields, 20 Stories is the ideal venue for exclusive Christmas parties. Bringing together impressive views, classic cocktails, festive set menus, canapés and private hire spaces (including sky-high pergolas), this place has it all. Billed as ‘Manchester’s highest restaurant’, 20 Stories is on top of No.1 Spinningfields building. D&D London is the group behind the venue and has hired Brian Hughson, the former Chef Patron of Manchester House to head things up. The venue is designed by New York firm CetraRuddy and has a large outdoor terrace which will include trees, BBQs and fire-pits. The interiors draw from Manchester’s industrial past with floor-to-ceiling windows, locally sourced textile pieces and both a restaurant and brasserie.

Glazier’s Hall London

Flanking London Bridge on the south side and sitting within easy striking distance from London Bridge and The City, Glaziers Hall is an exceptionally accessible private venue that offers seven versatile spaces for conferences, exhibitions, dinners and receptions.

That accessibility, plus a fantastic spot on the south bank of the Thames, makes Glaziers Hall a wonderful choice for those looking to host a Christmas party. Guests are afforded some stunning views across the river to the City, and the hall itself is right opposite Southwark Cathedral.

If you’re planning a large-scale Christmas meal for a work Christmas party, for example, the Banqueting Hall is the place to be. This stunning hall is suitable for up to 300 guests, and it more than looks the part thanks to festive decorations and three magnificent chandeliers that hang from the ceiling. The space can be extended by hiring in conjunction with the adjacent River Room – which boasts panoramic views of the river and the city beyond – and the Bridge Room – a multi-purpose space with state- of- the- art tech and AV equipment.

The London Bridge Arches is another of Glaziers Hall’s striking spaces – a beautifully restored series of Georgian brick arches and original York stone floor, perfect for Christmas parties and dinners.
