Organising an awards dinner is a pretty large task so start planning early and with your purpose in mind. A Gala dinner typically features entertainment, dinner and dancing and sometimes a raffle or auction. This type of event is all about the wow factor whether that means organising a VIP speaker, having a theme or maybe even giving away an exciting prize. Dinner packages vary however most will include venue hire, a three course dinner with coffee, half a bottle of wine and water.
For an awards dinner, it could be a black-tie formal dinner event, or equally you could go for a less formal event with poseur tables, canapés and cocktail reception, and a snappy 45 minute ceremony.
You may need a comprehensive audio-visual package, and the costs for this will vary with each events venue. Some will include basic AV such as staging, a data projector and screen, however if you need additional equipment such as PA system, lectern & microphones, usually it will be at an extra cost.
