I recently had the privilege of being invited by visit Scotland to join an agent’s Familiarisation trip to the Scottish Highlands.

Highlights included Loch Ness & Inverness, taking in several stunning castles and an excursion to the highest point in the Cairngorms.

Inverness Loch Ness offer one unique destination blending the vibrancy and warmth of the thriving capital city of the Highlands and the great outdoors and area of discovery on and around Loch Ness.

Inverness alone has fantastic conference facilities including Eden Court , the Town House , the Centre for Health Science and the Archive Centre as well as numerous fabulous conference hotels including The New Drumossie Hotel and The Kingsmills Hotel and Spa where we experienced top class catering at a memorable dinner and Whisky tasting courtesy of Tomaton distillery.

Outside of Inverness options include many historical castle venues, Cawdor Castle, Urquhart Castle and Dunrobin.

We stayed the night at the fabulous 17^th century  Achnagairn Castle which can be hired exclusively for weddings and corporate events.

It has 24 sumptuous bedrooms, each individually designed with its own name and theme.

Another night was spent at the McDonald Aviemore Resort situated in the very heart of the Cairngorms National Park. For golfers the Spey Valley championship golf course is nearby, voted one of the best in Scotland and boasting some of the most breath taking views in the world.

Loch Ness, 22.5 miles long, a mile wide and 700 feet at its deepest is the largest lake in Scotland by volume.

The surrounding area is filled with historic attractions, natural wonders, cosy places to stay and superb eateries serving some of the finest Scottish produce.

The Loch ness monster is just one of the many myths and legends to be discovered in this particularly beautiful part of Scotland.
