Museum of Scottish Lighthouses

The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses is based in the bustling fishing port of Fraserburgh on the North East corner of Aberdeenshire. It’s all here; Kinnaird Head Lighthouse – the very first lighthouse on mainland Scotland (1787), Kinnaird Head Castle containing the lighthouse and our purpose-built museum alongside. We host a range of events from small meetings in our Board Room to presentations with an audience of 60 people in the Exhibition Room. Our Tea Room is ideal for teas and banquets with catering standards and stunning sea views that are sure to impress your clients and colleagues.

Fyvie Castle

This magnificent fortress in the heart of Aberdeenshire is a breathtaking vision of towers and turrets with a history stretching back 800 years. Located just 3 miles from Aberdeen City Centre, Mercure Ardoe House Hotel and Spa is a stunning 19th century baronial mansion set in 30 acres of spectacular grounds. The original house was built incorporating many design features inspired by Balmoral Castle, with distinctive pointed turrets.
