Nestled in Epping Forest on the edge of East London, choosing The Hive as your venue brings together the perfect blend of the natural world in comfortable surroundings. The venue may be hired by any group carrying out activities of an educational nature. For your away day, choose our stunning Lodge building or two large first floor rooms in the Suntrap Victorian building. For an overnight stay, we offer fully catered camping facilities set in a stunning meadow.
Location
Located in the heart of Epping Forest on a beautiful 7 acre site of meadows and woodland.

The Eco – lodge – bright modern space with capacity for 80 and catering kitchen
The Suntrap building – traditional Victorian building with 4 classrooms capacity of each ranges from 30 to 50
Outdoor spaces – we have a large covered outdoor classroom, camping pods which have been used as small breakout rooms by previous users and a smaller octagonal shelter as well as outdoor seating areas and camp fire circles
Price
Prices start from £420 per day for dry hire of the lodge but contact us to discuss your requirements as we are a very versatile site with a wide variety of potential uses.
Sustainability
Our Victorian building was retrofitted with solar panels and rain water harvesting and our new eco lodge was built with solar panels, underground heat source pumps and many other sustainability measures. We can provide tours of the site to explore the sustainability measures in place as we are primarily a climate and environmental education centre.
Accessibility
The lodge is all on one level and users can park directly outside if they have accessibility requirements but there are gravel paths on site, limited parking and the traditional building has stair only access to the upstairs classrooms so please do call or arrange a visits to discuss your requirements.
