The property boasts 36 individually designed bedrooms and suites, two elegant private dining rooms, a range of onsite activities on offer, from private river trips to golf and wine tasting and various stylish and comfortable meeting spaces. For larger gatherings, The Orangery can hold up to 80 standing guests and a private hire will grant guests access to the entire private terrace and boat jetty.
Set on the banks of the River Thames, a stone’s throw from Hampton Court Palace, less than 40 minutes from central London (direct train from Hampton Court to London Waterloo), with easy access to both London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports.
There are also 25 on-site parking spaces for cars, for those in search of an easily accessible, functional and attractive location for business gatherings, The Mitre would make a perfect choice.
With only 36 rooms – of which none are the same – each of the guestrooms and suites are individually designed. All named after historical references linked to the hotel – such as King Henry VIII’s wives, The Gardener’s Hut, Penny Farthing – each room celebrates its individual heritage. Room categories include the Classic, Heritage, Culture, Royalty, Catharine Parr Suite and the Henry VIII Suite. We have a range of beautiful riverside spaces available for private events, conferences and weddings.
The Orangery: The perfect venue for up to 60 people for a sit-down event or for up to 80 people standing.
1665 Private Dining Area: For smaller parties and events up to 11 guests
Boat Trip Drinks Reception: Via one of our partners, we can arrange for you to have a drinks reception on the Thames for up to 40 people.
Cardinal Wolsey Room: A meeting room for up to 16 delegates.

The Mitre has a comprehensive sustainability policy in place to reduce food waste, source ingredients locally, eliminate plastic, minimise water usage and reuse and recycle wherever possible.
