Located in the heart of London, Central Hall Westminster is one of the largest conference and events venues in the capital city with sustainability and the wellbeing at its core. The magnificent Grade II* listed building was originally built as a meeting place for all by the Methodist Church in 1912 and carries that ethos to this day.
This popular venue plays host to a diverse range of events including conferences, concerts, televised shows, exhibitions, graduation ceremonies – and everything else in-between. The architecturally significant Great Hall with its imposing domed ceiling, the largest of its kind in Europe, is famous for hosting the very first United Nations public address in 1946. More recently it provided the setting for numerous prestigious gatherings including Stand up For Cancer, the Laureus Sports Award, the FIFA Interactive World Cup and the Late Late Show with James Corden to name a few.
With its roots within the Methodist Church, Central Hall Westminster, run by Central Hall Venues, is committed to a strong ethical code which is reflected in the way its operations are run. This includes actively working with all partners to reduce its environmental impact and promote best sustainability practice, assisting charitable organisations and being accredited with a number of leading bodies including Green Tourism for London, ISO 14001 accredited environmental management system and the London Living Wage. The venue works hard to build excellent relationships with all staff, clients, partners, and contractors who share its strong ethos and ethical standards.
As a highly versatile venue, Central Hall Westminster can host events of all kinds and sizes in its 23 rooms from special and notable occasions for 1000 to 2,000 people in the Great Hall to large events from 250 to 500 in the Library, Lecture Hall and Aldersgate Room. This could be anything from a conference or award ceremony to an art, trade or public exhibition. For mid-sized events for up to 150 people at a time, there are also plenty of versatile spaces to choose from, all with natural light, equipped with state-of-the-art AV facilities and full of character.
Smaller meetings are also fully catered for, ideal for exclusive events, board meetings and more, each fully equipped with first class AV facilities and flexible set-ups to choose from.
